How would one go about finding out the paint used on there land rover?

Its "white" and 1990, 90. Would that be Arctic White?

Any help would be much appreciated. Thanks

The white 90 posted with your screen name, what colour is that, it looks almost identical in colour to mine.

The paint colour is known as ivory white. Mine is the creamy white colour, not the straight brilliant white, though i do not know the paint code as she is away at the menders at the mo:-(

This is the thing, you now the steel runners which go along towards the back which are made of steel. Well I had some rust damage on them so prepared them and repainted them.

I used white undercoat, and that was fine, however having this on let me see just how white it was compred to the rest of the paint.

I then bough a tin of "Land Rover - Ivory White). I thought this was me sorted and applied it, it was too creamy, so I am looking for an off white I think, and its not just the case of old paint because the back door was replaced and hence resprayed, and it doesnt match that.

Mind you I might give up, hire a machine and do all the panels this summer, take them off a few at a time and paint them.

sorry about that:eek:
I repainted my body capping using light cream hammerite, mixed with a little bit of white till i got the right colour. Problem is, hammerite is shiny, whereas the rest of the 90 aint

No no, don't worry I bought this paint before you mentioed it. It was my own mistake here, hence I thought I would ask about here.

I to hammerite white, and I found satin finnish, I also have some yellow ochre pigment, I am going to try mixing a tiny quantity of that into the hammerite, make sure it still sets ok, and see how close the colour is the one I need.

I was looking at it going, I don't remember this, 2006!!!!!!!!! No wonder. Mind you, still haven't finished the tub caps.
