Hope no one has asked this before, I did a site search and came up with nothing

I have my 1988 Classic, and I want to touch up the body work a little but I'm having problems getting some paint. Th plate on the motor says it's Caspian Blue, RTC4545 A, but when I went to buy some I was told there is 6 different Caspian blues

Can anyone help me with getting the right blue for my motor.

Cheers
Alex

Hi Alex, if you are touching in stone-chips then just ask your paint supplier to supply the first shade on their list. This is generaly the "starter" shade, the others are variations ie "redder", "darker", "lighter", "yellower" etc etc. If you give them the year of your Rangie then that may narrow things down.
If you are thinking of painting anything larger (ie dents or rust ) my advice is don't !
Metallics shades are blended in to the surrounding panel(s) and covered with a clearcoat.
Don't expect a perfect colour match when touching in.
Have fun ! Regards, Demon Duck.

when ford did the diamond white on various cars in the seventies, they did 9 variations!
try a good bodyshop and ask for their advice.
good luck.

Demon Duck, ormus, thank you for your replies, I need to paint the rear N/S wheel arch due to the paint jus falling off the motor  , I will do as you say, go to a bodyshop and ask there advice.

Thanks again

Alex
