86/87 Range Rover brakes, I need to replace the connector between the 3 pin RIST connector and the plug on the prake pads as mine have fallen to bits, the RIST plug isn't a problem but the connector to the brake pads seems a bit special otherwise I'd just make them up myself, any suggestions?
Thanks
Graham

Do you mean the connector on the vehicle loom?
As opposed to the one on the pad wires?
Pic might help.

Mine were in bits when I got it (in 1994) & I've never bothered. Just check the pad thickness from time to time.

The cable I need goes from the plug on the pad leads to the 2 pin RISTS connector on the loom or a source for the connector to go with the plug on the pad leads, the RISTS plugs are readily available so if I could find a source for the other plugs I can make up what I need.
Thanks
Graham

Probably not much help but I needed the rear cable from the pads to the wiring loom in front of the fuel tank,
Priced up at £85  So I shortened the wiring going into the plug, ( at the pad end) drilled out the corroded pins and replaced with Gold plated pins,
spliced an extra piece of wire into the loom and heat shrinked the lot,
Worked well, mines a Discovery Mk1 1990 so same setup as yours,

Something like this from my “it may come in handy one day” box.

Close but not quite I need the plug on the other end to connect to the wire from the pads, I have one but the other has been lost in the intervening years so for now I'll fit a replacement waterproof plug and cut the plug off the pads and use the new replacement plug. A friend of mine has some old Discos for spares will have a look if I can rob one if suitable.
Thanks anyway

Thats what I do with my discos replacement pads they come with the pad wear leads and plug so I just cut them off, didn’t think they may be useful, but then your the first owner I’ve seen thats looking or one. ;)
