Yes, or if you want to fit it, leave it disconnected.
Hello,

Today clear weather. so to tackle drivers door latch, fitted motor from passengers door. Does not work, with Fob. Fitted left hand door latch (mgf drivers door for lhd) no response from the FOB.

Any idea of the next step. (It functions with Fob rear doors and passengers but only key operation works with drivers.)

decided to operate the latch, plugged in to harness by micro-switches only. Starting inside out
1) switch with white tab above - performs as it should, locks and unlocks all doors.
2) nothing, other than a click in outstation and in BecM
3) performs as it seems to be correct, locks doors.

Wonder what might be next move?

Have you tried swapping the out station with the one from the front passenger door?

Going back to post 114, the resistance reading of a closed micro micro switch was not good and you also said the reading jumps around before it settles. That is IMO a duff micro switch, it will cause all sort of problems.

Got it and am just got a success. Rimmer brothers. MGF latch, took the motor out and fitted into driver door and as Sinatra said, "the fat lady sang"!
This was a good journey...and much appreciated for all the input and help.

I, of course am going to watch and see what happens, as far as the micro-switch goes.

So, for the P38 sagas, we await the next dance!
