Ahh. In my ignorance I hadn't given that a thought. I guess it would be best for OP to talk to Colin.

The p38 is up and running again thanks to Doz coming down to re-sync the becm and ecm for me, so a big thank you to doz, and thank you for everyone's advise.
Now to sort out the miss fire.

I just took it out and i think it is still running one short but on the plus side it tick over on lpg for the first time, i need to check the over four plugs then its down to fueling i suppose

Double check the compression as well. I hope she is okay but it's a simple test to do and may save you lots of head scratching. You need me again just shout.

I'm fairly local but I think your car is a Gems engine. My Nanocom is set up for diesels and thor engines. I fear you won't get it running again without plugging it in.
Then your signature should say apart from gems engine managment systems :p

and that was then and this is now so read my signature and tell me what it says.....

In post 6 it still says gems :) obviously you've updated you nano :p: p and you signature :)
If only old posts , signatures stayed the same :

Well done!!! I think carpenter89 might of rumbled me if I had come down and tried to convince him it was running by making brrrm brrrm noises. :croc:

hi anyone got a bcem syncmate i can borrow for my rangerover 97 p38 petrol im in basildon essex i changed the fuel pump it started for a week now it wont start again wondering if its out of sync id be very grateful if any one could help thanks

after getting the car re-sync, it was time to sort the miss-fire, so I brought new spark plugs and ht leads, started her up and it was nice to hear all 8 firing took her for a drive and return great mpg 16-18 on petrol, it has been great on lpg is now working fine and returning 14-16 mpg.
no for the good bit went to the shops to do a bit of shopping, on the way out I thought I would check the air pressure.
while checking the air pressure the car was ticking over on petrol, the car stopped running and smoke poured from the bonnet, didn't hear any bangs because of the air compressor, when I open the bonnet I noticed the middle coil pack had burnt out, yet to investigate why ? could it just be faulty ? also check engine light has gone again not sure if its out of sync again or if its to with coil pack burning out.
The AA got it home 1:00 am after sending vans to small to tow it even know they were told it need towing, all good fun
