hi there im breaking a P38 RR and am selling the bodyshell and chassis seperately, where is the stamped vin number? shell or chassis?
just so i know which the v5 goes with

It's on the outside of the right front chassis leg, the panel in the front windscreen and on the sticker on the front slam panel.

thanks, so i would sell the v5 with the chassis itself, that clears that up i think as i have a guy wanting to buy my bodyshell but he thinks the v5 goes with it

What confuses the issue is the tamper resistant VIN in the front windscreen, which can only be changed by taking the windscreen out. Not sure how the law stands on changing it either?

Presumably he's got another chassis to put the body on, so that should have it's own VIN...... unless he already knows it's bent!

cavey p38, i have a whole p38 4.6 apart from, doors,bumpers,susp pump,becm.
it was a good jeep but broke because of serious water boiling
