Hi any body out there know if bfg mud terrains 265 75 r16 will be ok on a 1999 p38 2.5 dse as the standard tyre size is 235 70 r16

I'm running on insa turbo Sahara's 235/70R16 they fit fine but tend to kiss the front mudflap at times if you don't have the mudflap's you should be fine

My brother - in law runs 265/ 75/16 AT BUY.....

The spare won't fit in the boot well .

With that configuration, you are looking at 31.7 mph when the speedo reads 30.

Just Realised you haven't got the standerd size on it any way !!!

Yeah! Standard is 265/65/16!


That now makes it 31.06 mph when the speedo reads 30.

Mine are 255/65/16 I think that's the standard you got the slightly wider ones no probs there tho

No. No problems at all with mine. And running grabber AT2'S. No rubbing or anything.

If anything lock to lock but they are allowed and can manage your size

defender, 235/70 R16 actually is a standard size for us poor people with 7" wide rims - all the DT models had them AFAIK.

according to the handbook 235/70/16 or 255/55/16 are the standard size for p38

yep, the former for the 7J (7 inch wide) wheels, the latter [255/65/16 you mean? ] for the 8J (8 inch wide) wheels.

Yes chort that it spot on there is also the 255/ 55/18 for the 8j as well.

The important part of the 7J - 8J wheel size is that they don't mix well
Previous owner has put the 255/65r16 on my 7J rims and it drove like ****, all that side to side wobbling and bouncing just gets worse. The tires did look good with all that overhang tho.
