Hi Guys.
I have a 1995 p38 dse, which woz working fine till friday night.
Took the wife shopping and when we returned home, lowered the suspension for the wife (well she is vertically challenged), locked it up and went in.
Come saturday morning, had to go to town, so jumped in, fired the p38 up but the suspension would not raise.
The light on the manual override switch moved up the scale to normal ride height, flashing, but no movement of the suspension.
I tried it in the highest setting and again, the light jumped up, still flashing and the high setting light came up on the dash but still suspension did'nt rise.
Pushed the locking switch on and tried the override switch. Same response but I can now select motorway mode????
Have checked fuses, relays but all seem to be ok.
No fault has come up on dash display which i think is strange, so am lost.
Anybody got any ideas, or tricks up their sleeves.
Would be grateful....

Compressor shagged. Take the blue pipe ,off the compressor and see if it's producing pressure. You need the EAS software to read the codes.
If the compressor is shagged, you probably have leaking airbags. If they are original they will need replacing.

thks for that.
overall good news not.
did disconnect blue pipe and compressor is pushing air out, but question is, should it be coming out with force or steady???
mine is steady and did notice that comp was very hot, would this be norm?

Take blue pipe off and put your finger over outlet. You should not be able to stop air blowing past your finger even pressing on it very hard. If that is ok and you cannot hold back air. Remove exhaust filter and with compressor running put your finger over exhaust port if there is any air coming out the diaphragm has failed and will need replacing.

Hi Guys
Finally got to have a look.
Pump wasnt supplying enough air, (done test wiv thumb) so bought a new seal kit, fitted last nite, put pump back in this morn, and hey presto, after abt 10mins of running engine, suspension crept up to norm ride height then into high.
Have noticed that it goes down ok (obviously) but takes a while before it inflates up, which I am only assuming that there is still a leak somewhere.
Main thing is, I am no longer on bumpstopssss

Ok guys, thanks to all who pointed me in the right direction, and if any of you are in stroud, then I'll buy u a pint

cheers
