Has anyone fitted a L322 steering wheel on a P38 ?
What is the difference in splines?
Since I have a M57 engine in mine I need the crusie control buttons and I would love the heated option as well but that might be a problem due to the massive power drawn by the heater versus the thin cabling in the P38.
 
I put it in ! :)
M57 with manual gearbox. The P38 should have had that engine from the beginning. I just love the torque and the smooth run.
It was a LOT of work though. Still has some instrument issues but they are on the way of being solved now. I am debugging the can bus between the DDE4 ecu and the E39 instrument to write an emulator for the Bmw instrument pack so I can get out the rev counter,temp meter and messages for cruise control and stuff. I will get all extra info in my Hevac panel. I can put some Hevac info in a separate thread.

A P38 with the M57 engine, perfect. Now can you transfer the EAS diagnostics to Android please (or Arduino):D
 
Doesn't anyone know anything about the splines on the L322? The P38 splines I can just go out and measure but I would like to know the L322 ones before I buy a steering wheel.
If the 322 splines have large diameter I can make an adapter i the cnc. If not The steering whell has to be modified. It is a bit harder to get it into the little cnc mill !
 
Maybe but if somone did a eas app I think just about every p38 owner would have it

Hi iN57 won’t work with automatic gearbox is it true?
