been through all the threads and checked all plugs, seat, pillars, glove box, under steering column, still fault is there, left battery disconnected for 30 mins still there, does this have to be now reset at the garage, another question can the plugs be done away with and just solder the wires together? cheers for any help
 
Pull the bulbs, problem solved.
Beats bodging it with solder etc.
Other way is correct way, get the fault code checked sorted and reset.
I pulled the bulbs, never have the problem again.

Not sure what you mean.
No srs lights needed for mot but others will disagree.
Is that what you meant to ask.

There are two bulbs for the SRS. if one fails the other one stays lit. If it's not that you need diag. Car should fail MOT if SRS lamp does not come with ignition then go off after system check. Having said that what SRS has to do with vehicle safety is beyond me. SRS not working does not make car unsafe to drive just less safe to crash.
