Hi,
I cannot get my 2/3 rear seat to fold past the 1st stage. I can lower the back but it wont fold up. The small seat works fine, and I have taken the cover of the latch assembly and all seems to be ok.
It seems to be sticking/clunking on something near the middle seatbelt anchor or the edge by the door. Can you tell me how many latches there are on these seats and what the underneath looks like so I can see what might be causing the problem..

Thanks a lot.

I had this EXACT same problem a few weeks ago. Of course it was dark, cold and raining at the time as I was trying to get a large piece of wood in the back. Needless to say I was not impressed...

Its very easy to fix though, here is the guide I wrote to fix it, good luck and let us know how you get on!! :)

yowill: thanks, i tried every combination... I even tried singing to it. Thanks.
Wills: Oooh excellent, this looks like it might be the answer.. will give it ago when I am more sober. Thanks..

The solution was just as you had described.. However, I couldnt get one of the T40 bolts out and ended up completely stripping the head (and the tip of my thumb). So I ended up poking into the seat to find the metal tube and rotated it to release the catch. I will have to take the seat out at sometime in the future so that I can get that blasted bolt out and fix the lever. But at least now I know what is wrong and what needs to be done.. Excellent guide ..Thanks
