mines £475.00 per annum for 2000 4.6 v8 vogue ,im 62 and have 5 yrs ncb ..includes breakdown cover and wifey as named driver fully comp all from churchill been with them 5 yrs .. cant complain:):):)
Ouch. I am pay about that for 27y/o, 1 accident in the last year, only had my licence for 3 years and no other drivers named. Sounds like you're getting ripped off to me. My premium actually went down 500 after having my bump. :p

Unless job makes that much of a difference. Maybe being an IT Consultant is deemed to be a safe profession. :cool2:

hi

did mine this year (& last) with Swiftcover (part of AXA) they were the only comparison company that don;t count the LPG as a performance mod.

I'm 49, with over 9 yrs NCB and got fully comp, wife as named driver & legal cover for £314

well happy

German company I believe, goes with you handle:) Very expensive here in France, 2 to 3 times more than the competition. How do these companies work out their tariffs.?

Admiral Multicar Policy with the Girlfriends Fiat 500 Sport, Both of us are 34, 9 years NCB each, no claims and 3 points from her and 1 claim (RRC Stolen Jan 2011 - NCB Protected) and no points from me.... 2003 L322 4.4 Vogue on Gas (registered), Private Driveway, Fiat in the Garage,I'm a Design Engineer, shes a Graphic Designer/Artist, my Premiums are around the £560 mark, hers are a hair over £230 for the Fiat 500....

Mine has attempted to go up twice in the last 2 years and the last renewal wanted over £600, I looked about and got it down to £300.
44 and 7 years protected NCB and my missus is a listed driver but is too girly to drive it.
I think what pushed it up is on 2 separate occasions 2 people have driven into the back of me in the last 2 years - a truck pulling a Rangie and a hippy in a Seat going too fast too close.. So although my insurance did not pay out my name was on a claim, just as well it is protected, well worth it.

Part of the reason I have a P38 now.

Try lexus car ins no one could beat their quote fully comp + breakdown and all the trimmings for a p38 2.5 dse

I was paying £350 p/a through Direct Line for my Disco 1 300TDi, then another £320 p/a for my Mondeo ST220 and £300 p/a for my Kwak ZX6R. Got 9 yrs NCB on the Disco, 9 yrs on the Mondy and 2 yrs on the Kwak.

Just got the L322 54 reg TD6 Vogue to replace the Disco...Direct Line have not increased my premium, but have demanded that I put a Tracker on the RR (at a total cost of some £500 odd extra) or else I'm not covered for Theft!!

Bo***cks to that!! It's not like I live in a high risk area!!

Gonna do some looking around, as I've bin with Direct Line a long time now and reckon they're just taking the urine!!

I checked with my insurance what the difference would be on my premiums if I fitted a tracker to my L322...

£40 odd quid a year cheaper !! Not bloody worth it !

I found the same after doing pass plus. 100odd quid to take the test which insurance companies love new drivers to take offering at least a 10% discount, so already I knew I had to be quoted over 1k to make my money back. The biggest discount I was offered was a single pound for a 1,200 quote.

They used to give good discounts at first when pass plus come out

Even then my instructor said not to bother doing it as I'd never get my money back

Now everyone's cottoned on to it the discounts have gone

just redone mine after it went up a ridiculous amount with Churchill from £680 last year to £980!

24yo, 6 Protected NCB, drive o/night, fully comp no excess, 10k pa and full legal cover with Ad Flux £540 - "ask for the 4x4 dept" seems to be their catch phrase. She sounded fit to. :>

Admiral were close behind at 590, Sainsbury's must have a deal on as they were £600. Then NFU had an excellent policy just bit pricey at £680.

i spoke to flux yesterday , 660 for fully comp, 460 3rd party- best so far

back on it today to see what i can do, going to try the admiral group people and others suggested in the thread

when you ring Admiral, tell them you have a quote already, and i am sure they will beat it. but do be aware, if you do choose them (if thy are cheaper), be prepared for all the bull**** add ons they will try and get you to buy.

i did buy 1 of them, but only because i have a 1 year old and i took the extra cover in case of an accident for him. i think it was an extra £15 for the year.

they want a £500 excess

my trouble is...ive got a 1 NCB that expired in march after 2 years, and its been insured last 2 years with lancaster on a landy specialist policy that doesnt use or give no claims, so when i put quote in online i have to put in 0 no claims nearly 4 years driving but no accicents or claims, which i suspect is what gives highter quotes

they quoted me 780 odd

flux still the leader, i think its because they issued my NCB even tho it has expired they will sort me out a bit
