my da has a p38 range rover 2.5 dse year 2000,it runs a bit hard on idle up near 900 rpm,because of this it wants to go from juctions before you touch the throttle ,has any one any ideas what the problem could be and is it a handy fix

The tick over speed is controlled by the engine ecu. The only way to alter the idle speed is to hook it up to a fault mate/rovercom/testbook computer and adjust the programed speed, as far as I know.
