Before I go diving in head first I thought I'd ask a couple of questions.

4.6 V8 HSE with multi CD player - I am assuming the Radio set up a "High Line" set up.

So, my question is:

If there is no power to the amplifiers in the doors, should I still get output through the speakers?

I ask because all the speakers are working (music coming out), but it doesn't seem as loud as it was. Yes, I could be going deaf, but i'm not! And yes, I've just removed the ear wax build up!

Have checked all fuses and connections.

It could be the volume button on the unit or indeed the unit itself.

What do you think?

As I didn't get any takers I decided to dive in anyway.

Checked all the fuses and wiring. Found nothing.

Decided to take the plunge and sent the radio away on Thursday to get the LCD repaired and get the 3.5mm jack installed.

Just got it back today - all now working as it should, nice and loud again.

Looks like problem was the radio -phew!

How much was the repair? Mine has a dodgy display!
