Fitted a nice wood wheel last weekend so had to disconnect the battery for the airbag etc.

all went well but i put the wrong radio code in silly me (****) any way have left the radio on waiting for it to reset and code in message to re appear tried with key in pos 1 and 2 left it all night last night in pos 1 but still node code in just .. .. .. .. have remove fuses 1 and 8 but still no joy.

does any one have a clue please mine is the clarion cd changer head unit from a 97 dse with harmon cardon kit.

thanks and help please.

Tony:(

I've got a clarion code generator bit of software if you know the serial number this would generate the code for you (assuming you did enter the code incorrectly, as opposed to having the wrong code)

Feel free to drop me a pm with your serial on if you want a code / an email address so i can email the app to you.

cheers,
jt

Hi

no i have the correct code the problem is the radio wont let me enter the code i just get the screen .. .. .. .. and not the code in message.

so any thoughts on how to get back to being able to enter the code ?

thanks

Tony

Tony,
Is yours the same as mine in the picture ?
If so pressing the BND<>DSC button brings the display back to input mode.

Alex,

I just have to say that I have just bought a P38 (without owners manual) and the radio was locked. I googled and tried all sorts like, remove fuse 1, wait for 2 hrs etc and then I read your post.....perfect. Within 2 minutes my radio is up and running again. Many thanks from a newbie.

Jim
