Hi guys,

my battery died and now my radio is saying code please so i put a code in which the last owner left me and now the number just stays on the display, might have put the wrong code in, where do i get code from and how do i clear it or does it reset after a while?

hope you can help

If it's the original radio then your local main stealer will have it on computer. If it's a replacement then . . . . . .
if the code you've got doesn't work it's always worth pulling it out as some installers write the code on the unit.

Went to RR and got code however the old code i entered in is still staying on the screen, guy told me i would need to leave it on for 30mins and it should reset its self and then put in the code he has given me. However i am sure i have left it on more than 30mins and the old code is still showing up, going to leave it for a while if not cleared then will try pulling a fuse and see what happens if not then will try and get it de coded from somewhere. Could easily change it to a after market but i like the range rover one.

Dogsbody you are always there to help me out thank you, i owe you big time!!!!

No luck guys, the wrong code stayed on the screen for hours on end so i decided to pull fuse 1 and 8 that are under the drivers seat. now all i am getting is ---- and it wont let me put the code in, have tried holding down bnd button but nothing, any ideas? i am on the verge of pulling it out and stamping on it, please help!!!!

Mine was at that craic last week after an episode of battery drain while on holidays. Pull out fuse 1 overnight and then in the morning keep the band button pressed until it gives you the code in signal.

If that doesn't work do a search on here, there are some threads on it, there is something about turning the radio on while the ignition is in position 1.

I had the same problem with the wrong code staying on the display for ages but after a few days of messing with pulling the fuses and then leaving it powered on for a while with the ---- showing I came across the thread om here saying press the band button. It worked straight away then for me.

Ok going to try fuse one overnight and the switching ignition on for one hour or so and also going to pull out radio to see if it has code on the back of it, as the last owner might have changed it. The code i put in was the one he had written down on paper work, land rover gave me a totally diffrent code, his code did not work will try see if code on back of radio if not will try land rovers and if that does not work will need to fine somebody to decode it for me. Will keep you updated.

There is a site called radio code it i think and all you have to do is give them the serial number and you get the code instantly,no charge and it has worked for me many times.Hope this helps :)
