This car i stumbled onto when window shopping ebay.
The exact twin to mine except my 51 plate has half the mileage!!

although admittedly my car is cosmetically tatty.

What has happened to the P38 market since a few months ago? i picked up my 2001 for under 2.5k
I remember tripping over the darn things a few years ago, you would pick up decent examples for 1-3k

now Some are pushing 10k

Been looking for a newer model myself, don't tell the missus, and P38's keep popping up for silly money. Perhaps they will be an investment soon. Now I've sorted the Red one and if the weather improves I'll finish the Black one they may be worth keeping

Exactly my point the prices are slowly rising!!

I would keep 'em.

There are some real dreamers out there regarding prices........at the end of the day its worth as much as some one will pay. Some have been on the bay for months listed as collector cars.
Maybe due to the lack of classics people are moving to our p38s.

As with most cars. There comes a point when they stop depreciating and start appreciating. The Classic market is rising higher and hopefully P38's will be on the turn.

They ask a lot for them here in France.
Some of them are real bins with mega mileage and the tidy ones are stupid money....

I think they are really common in the UK. Esp diesels. As usual the ones to collect are special editions with v8 engines. The ones to use are manual diesels with bog trim.someway to go before there worth anything. I saw a stunning w plate diesel up the road a few weeks ago. How was it so bloody good?

It really was showroom. Amazing really. I guess some have an easy life with just a few owners. Remember it only takes one owner to bugger the lot up.
