I think it's ok it doesn't fade and I have some on my window switch console for at least 7 years and it still looks good your talking about the plastic ones right

Its a few ££ buy some see what its like if you dont like it then spend on the real stuff, but you know the real thing is a lot more, also it might be faded, and wont match what you have anyway??

Problem with getting a genuine walnut panel is mine is a lhd, noticed they do a stick on in lhd.as you say i could buy it and see what it looks like, thanks.

I have a stick - on one on my HEVAC. I thought it was proper wood, (was on another unit) and had me fooled until I actually went to swap the front panel over and I saw it was stick on plastic. Given the rest of my Vogue has the real stuff, the difference between the 2 isn't that noticeable, especially on the HEVAC as it's a bit hidden away!

The real vogue/autobiography stuff goes for silly money... Just watch out on eBay though as there are a couple of sellers I've found which are selling walnut items, which were never done as standard and selling them for a LOT of money - when looking into it some more, it's actually just a water print transfer, NOT real walnut veneer.

I also have several of the stick-on "wood effect" panels. HEVAC, Radio Ends & Window switch pack. The trick is to dismantle & clean the panel you want to stick it onto. Then careful positioning & application once, and press down firmly with a sponge.

Only problem area for me is slight peeling on the windows switches adjacent to where the drivers seat belt latch is. I suspect I have caught the edge on a jacket or jumper causing the issue, rather than the glue failing.
