I am trying to install a parrot car kit in my P38, it has the Harmon Kardon DSP setup so I have ordered an Auto Leads adapter for it.

But during the install of my towbar I have notice a 3 pin connector in the boot with the label Phone on it and it suggests it has an audio input +ve and -Ve, and also a mute wire, has anyone used this for the installation of a car kit into a P38.

Thanks,
Jamie.

where is this connector in the boot?

Wanting to fit a Car Kit to mine and this could be of help if it allows muting..

Why! do yu want a parrot in your rangey?? It'll **** all over ya seats and annoy the fook out of yu while ya driving

Hi i have a Parrot fitted in my 2002 p38 and its does not use the phone harness by the subwoofer. It does work with the radio ie cuts out when making a call. I dont know how its wired as i dont have the radio removal tools.

to remove the radio in any make of car just get a little scroat in a hoody and give him half a house brick, bish bash bosh stereo out in a flash!

Hi just pop ya radio out and use the parrot harness kit provided! The kit has it's own amp and a load of relys to cut your music and route the phone audio to the speakers!! It's a easy job hardest bit is routing the mic wires lol

I know this is an old post, but today I fitted a Parrot Mki9000 into my P38 and I did it without an additional harness.I will post the wiring diagrams I used a bit later.
But it was easier than I thought as one of the normal ISO plugs fitted into the radio, and supplied the power and the mute functions. Which then only left the speaker wires to be connected.
