Just trying to sort out this problem myself. I went under neath and took the connector of the netural select switch on my manual gearbox and inserted part of a paper clip and hey presto I had H/L range. But solving the problem with the car knowing it is stopped and in neutral is being more difficult. When I try to select H/L it displays select neutral on the message centre.
