That procedure didn't work, tried all versions of it , the only way it synced was through the ignition after turning immobiliser on.

If RF unit unplugged you'll have to hokd key up to rear quarter light before pressing button. Also won't work if you have any dodgy microswitches in the door actuator.

its usually unplugged but i made sure i plugged it back in for all the sync attempts, must be a microswitch but it did unlock all doors when i turn key in door so should be ok, either way atleast i can easily just sync from the ignition now.

There are 3 microswitches. One detects unlock, one lock and then there's another one in the centre.
