Watch your plugs with lpg as well they wear out the tips quickly and don’t bother with expensive plugs. My L322 runs fine on single tip Brisk plugs which were about £34 for 8. FullFat forum highly recommend them as did my service guy and also added I should try a rad cooler additive as the heads run a little hotter when using lpg.

A water "additive" will do jack shyte TBBH.

So long as the cooling system is maintained to a good degree you shouldn't have an issue. :D

Thanks pal. You got part numbers by any chance? Also details on the rad cooler please pal

You dont need any additional cooling on a P38 as long as the system is working it will be spot on.

The L322 runs hotter as thats the way LR made emissions regs. my L322 SC also on LPG (but not BRC) runs spot on with temp with no additional cooling but it does have flash lube

My P38 would pull a 1in3 gradiant with a loaded horse trailer and LPG with the pedal to the floor, never had an overheating issue ;)

MPG was shocking though!! ;)

Yeah ive towed a P38 on a tilt trailer behind the P38 up similar gradients on LPG no move in temp

Good tow cars!

I did replace the Radiator, waterpump , thermotẃat , and assosiated pipes to aid in cooling ;)

Good precautionary maintenance ;)

My diesel tackled a very steep hill here in France towing another P38 on a trailer with no problem, fuel consumption was still pretty good at the end of the journey. No overheating even without the viscous fan in place:p:D:D:D
