I have had the single point reconnected, cost me £500, new ECU and system has been retired. The garage I used have been excellent Jay the owner is really helpful. I have done nearly 1000 miles since it was finished and not a hit of a backfire and drives really well.
I will put some pictures up of the new fit for comparison with the disaster that was initially installed.

Could you post a pic of what this 'fart-flap' component is ?
My system was fitted in 2005 - would a competent installer have fitted one then, or are these recent innovations based on learnings RE: knackered MAF sensors ?

blowback valves are only required if you have a single point lpg system , the more effeicient multipoint systems dont back fire .
