OK having an issue with my P38 4.6 V8. All well and dandy until Sunday morning. . . came out and puddle of what instantly recognised as coolant. Checked underneath and dripping from the bottom of the radiator. Although unsure if pipes to blame or rad. Topped it up and dried the rad off. Drove it to my old mans (more space to leave it and 2 minutes away) and 6 hours later only a slight wet mark on the road?

Now I left it there over night and been informed that it has leaked (I think she is crying! Well I am!! lol) some more! Il go check it again later but does this sound like the actual radiator, pipes or something else? Any easy way to diagnose without taking bits apart?

If it is the radiator anyone know of any places in and around Northampton to pick up another?

Thanking you all!!

Scotty

Thank you just looked and under £100 inc del and VAT for a brand new one!! Think il be calling him in the morning and they do next day!

Just hope thats the issue. Should I replace the O rings at the same time? Read somewhere many moons ago this good opportunity to do it?

O rings is heater matrix - puddle would be in the foot well not on the driveway ;)
Are you sure it is the radiator before you shell out £100 - test it once you get it off.

Sorry got a little confused then. Its leaking from the front underneath the radiator so that seems to have the fault as can see it dripping although have had a little wet patch in footwell too only recently though!! hmmm!!

Yeh il take it off one evening as the above do next day delivery so can still get one for the weekend. Need it soonish as she will be my moving house mule within the next couple of weeks!!

How long have you had the car?

My reason for asking is... If you did not have a leaking rad or a wet footwell before, then they both turn up at the same time, they both could have been caused by an over pressurised system - pointing to head gasket too...

Let's hope not.
