Hi guys it's me again!
After all the help I had from some very experienced range rover guys last time I posted here I'm back.
So I got the p38 bug and went and bought another 2.5 dse on an m plate. I bought this truck with the problem that hasn't yet been looked into (or so I'm told) by the previous owner. He left the truck for over a month and when he. Are back to it the battery was flat. He charged it up and when put back on there are no ignition lights at all only the little Green screen saying key in ignition and the mileage. There is a click in the becm when the key is turned to start. I've removed the becm and cleaned all connections and brought it home and left it in front of a heater to gently dry it out as it was damp with coolant????! I refitted it and no difference. I've cleaned the terminals on the chassis and the battery and all the connections in the footwear track. Could this be a simple immobiliser fault!!!!!! Any help greatly appreciated

Sounds like you have a BECM problem. PM Rick the Pick (forum member) and post it off to him to have a look. Damp BECM does not sound good.:(

Hu guys I sent the becm off to rick the pick and he was very helpful and fast with the turn around. Unfortunately it hasn't sorted the problem I have. I put it back on with a new fuse board (under bonnet) and no change. Just the green screen in the middle. I've spent 3 hours checking wiring and plugs and I have got no further. Any ideas would be great

Now you know that the BECM is all sorted and good to go it's just a thought but may be its the ignition switch its self, have read on here a few times that they can play up.

Yea thats a good suggestion as I've read things about the dash boards playing up but they still start. This won't do either. I just have a click in the becm and the relay board under the bonnet when the key is turned to start.
