There is a well documented problem with relay 7 and 8 in the fuse box in the engine compartment when the relay burns out it usually caused arcing in the fuse box - it will liik ok because it is in a black plastic case if the board is burnt it will cause you loads of problems have a look at the connectors under the fuse board blue or pink from memory and check if there is a smell of burning if so change the fuse box or you will have battery probs in my case it burnt out the two front door lock motors . It is probably caused by a sticking blend motor or a bad connection so it draws more power to compensate also in my opinion the track on the fuse board is not heavy enough - just some info

Hi, thanks for the info, i checked the fuses and relays, relay is clicking as tho its working and i even swopped the relay for another, it does look like there a relay missing as no 7 isnt there, is there 2 motors?? surley both motors cant burn out at the same time, i had been thinking that since i got the rangie the fans seemed weak altho you could tell that they was blowing full speed, il take the fuse box out and take cover off relay and see if theres any tell tale sighns, is there anything else i should look at? also where abouts are the motors? need to check the supply to them, thanks... :frusty:

the two blower motors are: 1's behind the glove box, the second is behind the cover by your knees, under the steering wheel, have a look on rave to see what you've got to do, the procedure in there, it isnt very hard at all.

Hello, I have a simmilar problem with my 96 p38 gas. I have the blower motor working but the air is only comming out of my defroster vents. In the engine bay fuse box, the number 6 relay is badly burnt looking and the plastic that is mounts to is cracked from heat in the past i belive. Why would this have happended.
