Got home today and opened the door got out and closed door as you do and it bounced open thought seat belt had not retracted and was fouling the door it wasn't. Tried to shut door again and it bounced open again looked at lock and it was in shut position. The central locking is now only operating with the key in the lock and have to be quick to get passenger door drivers side open. The locks open on the door buttons but immediately relocation when you let go. At 58 yrs old I'm too old to be scrambling over seats to drive it. Also it's ****ing down so anything that needs doin to it will have to wait till its dry. The drivers door has never worked on the fob. The range is a 98 4.0 litre petrol.

You need to remove lock and have a look at it. Possible sill button micro switch problem, which is loose sill button or badly adjusted dropping and locking the door. They can be adjusted.

Good timing, just finished taking my (passenger) door lock out to replace the internal release cable - I am going to put a How To together later this evening when I get 5.
