Just wondering if anyone knows the colour coding of the alpine cd multichanger wiring in a p38 vogue. I'm looking to use the cd input for another source so need to know which is the line level?

Has anyone managed to do this and completely remove the cd changer or does it have to stay there for the head unit to see it so it still plays that input?

Hi, I tried to use the CD changer input for an iPod, got it to work after a fashion, I used the grey & red wires (black & white wires also worked the same), left the other wires connected. I had to select the CD option from the head unit and you have to have at least one CD in the CD changer. Worked OK apart from a regular clicking noise in the background (at about 20 second intervals) and when the CD finished playing I got about a 5 second pause whilst it switched to the next CD.
Had the chance to get hold of an iPod control head unit so am now using that.
