Had a search on here but couldnt find an answer to this. My glove box has a gap of approx half to 3/4 of on inch from the wooden panel, it latches OK, in that it doesnt drop down whilst driving. I cannot see any adjustment to the two catches at all, however, there are 2 grub screws at the bottom of the glove box by the hinges, turning these didnt seem to make a difference. Does anyone have any ideas how I can get a snug fit for my glove box?

fooking heck even the glove boxe on a P38 is unreliable
Yes thats correct, they have a habit of not opening, mine had a bigger gap one side than the other, one latch worked but not the other so i just gave the latches a squirt of wd40 and played around with it untill the both latched, i dont recall any adjustment

Are you sure the glovebox is latching? Can you hear it click when you close it? It should latch at both sides. It has a damper on it which means it won't drop open even if not latched. Not sure if there is any adjustment but maybe your catches are broken or jammed open.

Mine has a gap of about 1/2 inch..... i just thoughth this was normal.....but am going to play around with it now....

it may be the plastic has warped over time??? if it has you could heat it up gently and see if you can manipulte it into a better position, its the same method you use on bent bumpers and any plastic trim. be gentle though.

I have exactly the same thing on my vogue. latches perfectly on the left latch but the right latch not engaging at all.

Took it all apart and there is no little black box attached to the actuator rod on the right side which I assume is why it doesn't latch.

Can you get them?? - from the back of the button it looks as if there is only one cable (mine is attached to the left hand black box over the actuator rod) & works as it should

Is it just a case of geting a replacement black box and just fitting it over the actuator rod (whic is pulled by the cable on the left hand latch

Anyone know where I can get these from or is it dealer (sharp intake of breath)

cheers
