Has anyone had the problem of the drivers door switch not working, but only when the temp outside gets over about 20 degrees ( I know thats not often in London)

It cause the following minor problems

1) The alarm wont set properly
2) The interior light stays on (can be switched off manually though, but
from the nearside door only)
3) If you park it in the morning and the day gets hotter the alarm goes
off annoying everyone except you because you are not there!

Does any one know a fix for this without replacing the door lock (£120) Then er indoors will stop nagging me about it

Soinds like an earthing problem to me. The interior light is normally earthed via a switch on or near the door. I would be inclined to clean up all the electrical connections , paying particular attention to all earths and refit with generous amounts of vaseline.

Thanks but the switch is apparantly integral with the door lock so as far as I know it cannot be taken apart!

the door lock mechanism can be stripped down, take it out strip it and grease it up and clean connections. strip the cover off via the small screws on the cover plate. once all back together i reckon itll be back to normal
