Sorry for posting this well covered topic but I was looking for a little help I couldn't find in a search and reading all the how to guides

essentially, has anyone got a tip for getting to the retaining clips on the front airsprings without removing the wheel arch liners? I have done the rears and the shocks front and back but it seems really tricky to get at those silly fiddly little spring clips, let alone put them back!!

Any tips or techniques would be gratefully received......

Many thanks and apologies for the ineptitude!!

Ash

If you PM Datatek and ask him to send you his airbag replacement guide I think he suggests a way of avoiding this - but his is a diesel and I'm not sure if the layout is the same on the petrol (if yours is a petrol).
From looking at RAVE it doesn't look too unpleasant to remove the liners in case it comes to that :)

Magnetic probe and long flat screwdriver. Bit of a knack to it but easy enough.

used this method yesterday works a treat fist thing is to look closely at at clips to know exactly which way to push /pull (learn by my mistake) after the first 2 you'l find it easy

Thanks everyone, yes perhaps I had lost heart after a day removing and replacing rear bags and shocks all round.......

All the mudflap screws are all galvanically corroded in place and I will have to order a load more screws from land rover and dynamite the old ones out......

And yes the car is a diesel......... currently waiting for a starter motor:doh:

Have pm'd Data for the guide

Thanks again
