Ok sent loads of info and photo of the pump so hopefully come back to me. Probably get my original pump done as one that is in the car at mo does the job for starting and moving. Cheers.He does hundreds of different pumps so hard to remember them all. There were at least 3 versions of that pump that were almost identical and used in same engine in BMW. VW, Vauxhall/Opel (probably more) but whereas some of the others were a mix, the P38 only ever had the 994 version. Who but a Rangie nut would remember that?!

Its got a new head, chains, sprockets and lift pump. Got a new FIP (I say new removed from X-reg apparently but been ripped off long story). Mine is a 1995.
