How do after a stainless system for a P38, 2001 4.0 V8, ideally with a decat but seems unlikely so Cat back system if not.

Before I shell out i just thought I’d ask on here.

Thanks

So let's begin,
firstly is your current exhaust fecked ?
Secondly what is the reason for a ss system?

I only ask because there stupid expensive and your never going to see it, if its more noise you want just replace the centre box oh my will it sound good but drones a bit on the motorway or cut off the back boxes also sounds great but no drone on the motorway you can fit a ss pipe in place of the old rear boxs for £20.

Job done, dacatting the front pipe is a bit involved iv my old one here and mite get round to it one day

Yes centre section and both back boxes corroded was an advisory last year and now the only thing it’s failed on this year.

I was after a second hand stainless replacement not looking at throwing a few hundred pound on a new SS bit of kit. After speaking to the MOT tester he has to test it as presented and said if it’s presented running on LPG he doesn’t need to emission test it hence could ditch the cats?

I have fitted a straight thru centre section to a 4.6 before and did enjoy the sound improvement.

Thing is been looking at £250 for a decent mild steel replacement of both back boxes and centre section, or £150 for the cheapest equivalent.

Trouble is I’ve gone down that road before and bought the cheapest centre section for my old disco 3.9 and 2.5 years later was corroded thru!

Iv got these on mine and there pretty good you can find cheaper on the bay I don't like the square shape of there rear boxes but what can you do.
