i started of with the basics, straight through exhaust and a cold air space with induction kit then moved on to more expensive gear.
boost controller set to 20psi
port matched inlet
omega rocker with vented breather
bigger nozzles and lower break preassures for the injectors
brand new diesel pump with the fuel quantity control knocked forward a touch
remapped
one off kevlar clutch from kestral transmissions in s****horpe to take it
end result = very quick with a nice trail of black ****e

ok,but still not enough to change the oil every 3 thou miles.

well theres no other mods to be done to it, no one makes a cam for it or any upgraded internals. the only other upgrade is a bigger turbo but i really dont see that helping to much as it seems fairly high strung at the power its running all ready.

ok,but you DO NOT need to change your oil/filter every 3 thou miles.save your money mate.change it every 6 thou instead,if you are using fully synthetic it will be more than adequate.

There is certainly more to your oil changes now you have mentioned the high miles and the modifications you have made.

Who you calling old boy anyway? lol Changing the oil in a P38 is so simple, you dont even need a jack.

Young or old bones, its easy. In fact I just did mine yesterday at 6K miles of course.

With regards to these short oil changes, I think some folks just get a little obsessed, a little OCD!
