I've used Nanocom to sucessfully enter the EKA code before, but it will only do it if it's in a standard EKA lockout, rather than the full alarm lockout.

I've used it a few times where owners have the EKA code, but the door latch has a faulty microswitch for example - gets it back moving at least, until the latch is changed....

I didn't think you could turn the EKA or immobiliser etc off in the BECM, even in diagnostcis mode if it was already in a lockout state and expecting the EKA - I'm sure I've had people who have tried it, and even if you tell it to write the settings, and Nanocom might say that it's written, it actually hasn't. I'm sure the EKA needs to be input and the vehicle back in a disarmed state before it will allow those settings to be written.

Not correct, the Nanocom is used in BECM diagnostic mode with ignition OFF. Nanocom cannot correctly communicate with the BECM whilst the engine is running or when the ignition is on.

You are write Mr Wammer. But one thing if the car went in Key lock out code showed in dash you can not change the sitting of the becm

I have explained what that is. Leave the ignition on for half an hour and that should disappear. Changes to the BECM are made WITH THE IGNITION OFF. Connect Nanocom with ignition OFF switch Nanocom on. Then select BECM in Nanocom menu. You will get a message on the dash "DIAGNOSTIC MODE" go to ALARM and select to disable immobiliser and EKA code then go back to previous page and write new settings to BECM. Switch ignition on all messages should have gone and car should start.

Thank you very much for kind support Wammers. I have tried what you have said because i use My Lynx with some rang rover workshops here in Libya. If the KEY LOCK CODE appear if after one hour you can not change the sitting of becm unless you insert the KEA ( that of course with Lynx)

Have you tried the online EKA specialists, they can normally provide it with the VIN number.

Lynx is a waste of time, throw it in the bin and get a Nanocom. ;)

You can only enter EKA code and use the "Disarm" function on Nanocom if the BECM is version PAM V36 or better. It does not work on earlier versions. But you can in BECM diagnostic mode change settings to disable immobiliser and EKA code no matter what it says on dash.
 
Wazzajnr Please make sure because in lock out code you can not disable the immobiliser. but for kea code can you explain to me
If you have the correct EKA, Nanocom will let you enter it even if in lockout mode. Once the correct EKA is entered, you can then disable the immobiliser so that in future you will not need the EKA

Just seen wammers post above about the BECM you have. I didn't know this but either way, if you have nanocom, you can get going again.
Nanocom is by far the best investment if you have a P38.
 
I seriously doubt Mozz will be able to help any more than i can. Nanocom will enter the EKA code but only if the BECM is Pam 36 or better If the BECM goes into an alarmed state as you describe above, then it can sometimes be recovered if the EKA is input and accepted, otherwise it would need an MSV2 with special software to unlock it then change the settings that cannot be accessed whilst it is locked. There is a difference between locked/unlocked and an full ALARMED state that talks to you in Froggy. I agree that the drivers door lock can stop input even of the correct EKA code if the micro switches or wiring is faulty. But in this event it is possible with Nanocom to go into the BECM and disable both the immobiliser and the need for the EKA code to keep the car usable until the door lock is sorted out.
My black one was alarmed and disabled,tried to enter the era code without success. Cut out the block connectors at the bottom of the A post and soldered the wires together and all sorted.Not that it will help the original poster.
