Hi all does anyone have the engine fitting times for a 2.5 derv auto

Autodata Tmes. Engine and Transmission Remove and Install: 9.45hrs with manual transmission 9.15hrs with auto transmission. Full exchange engine 14.75 hrs. The later time takes into account the swapping over of ancillaries etc. If anyone needs technical details, torque figures, fluid capacities, etc. from Aoutodata just message me.

Many thank 37 hrs is a bit excessive to diagnose and replace

No problem. Autodata times are manufacturer times that can be a little misleading. They are for new vehicles in a fully equipped workshop with any special tools on hand. No seized nuts and bolts etc. Autodata gives the option of adding to the times to give more a realistic estimate. I used to add 20-30 % for a job of that size.

Used to do the same thing, although not in the automotive sphere. There is ALWAYS something that holds you up. Something that is rusted solid or seized or whatever.
