Hi,

I have got a select neutral warning on my dash that appears to be linked with the loss of my indicator ticking noise. Am I going mad or could they be linked, the fault occasionally disappears and the indicator sound comes back, and vice versa.

Check condition of earths.....as a first step.

Are there specific earths to look at or just check all of them??

I never got anywhere with this just sort of put up with it for now, I did check earths but couldn’t find an issue. I have also replaced the transfer box ECU and the motor itself on the transfer box but I still have the same issue. Any other ideas??

It would help of course if we knew if the car was manual or automatic. It's amazing how many people do not read the first post in this section.

The car is automatic.

The neutral switch on the automatics is in the XYZ switch. When does this problem occur?

It does it all the time from the moment you start it up, I’ve just checked the micro switch in theXYZ switch and this functions ok ( well at least at the connector block next to it). The car drives ok in high range but won’t move into low range. When I put it into low range nothing seems to happen and the car will still drive ( I’m presuming in high ratio). I’ve tried two different ratio motors and I’m on my third ECU.

You may have cocked up when changing the high/low motor it must be done correctly. See RAVE for correct method. You cannot just slap in on a hope it works.
