Then surly you have chain stretch hot startproblem?
I've got one of the "hot start boxes" fitted for last few years. The one that puts the glow plugs on everytime.
I've not read about the chain stretch? Will have to have a read up when started and home. Gutted as know when it starts once cool, it will drive superb and may not do it for a day/week/month!
ok that's why I suggested having it done at the injection Specialist at lest you have done the temp sensor best do a check on the ecu temp sensor as well while the air intake is if for the pump to eradicate all possibilitys if you have a stretched chain ajusted you won't be needing your box anymoreI'm pretty confident on the box. I replaced it about a year ago. I'm more convinced its gonna have to go to a diesel place to get timing and pump checked.
Oh well
Where can i find the engine temperature sensor for the EDC guys?
Cant find it listed for sale anywhere.
Or am i just be grasping at straws.
A simple test on the starter box would be when hot remove box try to start refit it if starts you know that's still working as for pump its a little cost to check ajust timing without it being checked your never know .Ok, well its finally time to bottom this out.. Has been on going for the last few year, but only got worse the last few months. And ive got to start using the car.
Am going to attempt to find an injection specialist in Essex. Anyone know of a sensible one? Im right on M25 Jcn 30 but obviously can travel..Would chain stretch not make it a permenent issue though? It does it 1 times in 10. Not trying to predict the future, but if the chain stretch is throwing the pump timming out, is there the slightest possibility it can be adjusted? Maybe enough to correct the issue?
So far have changed the:-
Leak offs
Fuel filter
Fuel pump in tank
Glow Plugs
Fuel Temp Sensor
Battery
Diesel run back valve
Starter Motor (just incase)
Full/Empty/Half full fuel tank
Is it worth throwing a new hot start box on as well?
Due to my car being off the road, i really need to start using this and cant really afford the unreliability.
Cheers guys

Will pick one up today and try it.
Any pointers of where to start looking where it fits..

What a poxy twisted screwed up place to put a sensor!!
Can get the plug off!! Lol.. Job for tomorrow I think!
providing he gets some gaskets if it hasn't been of for a while they are bound to tear .Piece of pee with manifold off. 20 mins off 20 mins back. Including temp sensor.

Hmmmm no gaskets! Mind you it was off few week ago whilst changing glow plugs.
May just chance it!
Are we thinking the sensor is reading too hot or too cold? Just wondering if when it cuts out next, if I plug a room temp sensor on the wire (not fitted to head) should it kid it too start?
Really appreciate how much time yous guys are putting in helping. Am at loose end here!! Have had quick call to 2 diesel injection specialist and both suggest worn pump and will only recon and labour @ approx £700 + Vat.
Neither was interested in timing or fitting a pump I supply (eBay reckons £250-£300)
Will have another ring round tommorow
