Hiya peeps!
Just wondering, has anyone just changed the pump rather than the whole sender unit? On my L322 I just replaced the failed pump, which was far cheaper than the complete unit which most suppliers want to sell. Trying to do the same on my Chrysler 300c touring but all I get is the sound of tumbleweed or offers of dodgy old units at inflated prices?

Given the time and effort dropping the tank, to me it's false economy to just change the pump and leave the old sender unit.

Going the other way! Over half a tank of diesel and seems a lottery on new sender units anyway. At least with cutting a hatch I can replace without much effort and keep a spare. Not sure why the P38 designers didn't follow the example of everyone else?

Yeah, the 300crd market is a bit hit and miss with spares available at the moment, over here especially 😳
