In the fuse box there is an "OR" gate comprising 3 diodes, one diode provides power to the relay coil from the D+ on the alternator when the engine is running, one provides power to the relay when the glow plugs are on and the third provides power to the relay from the starter circuit when cranking. If the engine is not running, the glow plugs are not on and the starter motor is not in operation, there is no power to the relay coil.Care to explain in more detail
That is what I'm talking about.Sorry confusion once again, it is the electric in tank fuel pump relay i was talking about
The inertia switch sounds correct because the NO will be closed unless the switch is tripped.I removed my inertia switch and tested the plug for power with the key on. there are 3 pins. 1 is Common, 2 is No, naturally open, 3 is NC, naturally closed. On Common i get 0, on NO i get 12v and on NC i get 0.04. any ideas if this is working because if not i suspect it could be an ecu issue or am i wrong
Have you put any fuses in empty spaces down under the drivers seat? There is one that you put in for towing which will give you that messageI am listening but the way i know it is that it first comes on with the ignition to prime the FIP and once started it kicks in again or that is at least how my other one worked, I will try it your way and see. Also i have a warning on the dash says tranfer box neutral, any ideas
