Hi Everyone!

Does anyone have experience with this diagnostics setup:

LANDROVER RANGE ROVER P38 EAS AIR SUSPENSION, ENGINE & GEARBOX DIAGNOSTICS | eBay

Seems like good value and covers most basis. Its not nanocom and the like, but looks good for the price.

I'm looking for cost effective diagnostics, should i be looking for anything else?

That is just a rip off bud....

It is the Legend that is Storey Wilsons EASUnlock Suite (Which is/was free) and a copy of EasyOBD2 software (again free or $20 US), plus a lead that you can get from Datatek for £20 and an ELM OBD2 cable with a fancy sticker on it that can be had from Amazon for a tenner....

OBD won't cover Diesels, and will give basic info on the Petrol models.

EAS Unlock Suite on the other hand is a great bit of kit, but can be had for a 3rd of that price from Datatek on here!

+1 for that, wot a rip off, got my EAS suite from P38 spares for 22 quid, didnt know Datatek sold them at the time, but worth every penny. :D

+1 also.
Plus it does not say it reads/clears BECM.
Plus Torque via OBDII over bluetooth works a treat on the petrol engines.

Does anyone have any experience of the iCarsoft i930 kit?

I've seen some demo video's but they seem to only show P38 from the THOR engines (99?) onwards.

Has anyone used them on a pre 99 V8?

Any OBDII reader will work with the petrol engines in a limited way. What they won't do is any of the other systems, you need proper diag for that.

A 2 metre EAS cable for the P38 allowing you to work outside the car, necessary when calibrating the heights, together with a CD containing the EAS software, EAS PDF, my Airbag Replacement Guide and a copy of RAVE covering P38, Defender and early L322 is £12.50 plus £4.20 P&P total £16.70 if you pay by cheque, or £18.70 if you want to use Paypal.

And that is pretty good value compared to some of the crap off Ebay.
