Hello me again ..been having problems with linking up the software for eas so as told I've Checked and cleaned all the wires and plugs and it worked yesterday morning the car linked up and was doing everything i asked and i cleared the fault it was all sorted. As that problem was sorted i thought i would clean up the plug going in to the alarm speaker as when its plugged in it blows fuse 44 , well the cleaning didn't work and blow the fuse , i had eas fault on dash again so thought not a problem ill just link up the laptop well its not linking up again ?
I took the battery off for a bit then put it back on and the eas fault was gone .
Problems I'm stuck with ...
SRS light on airbag fault on the dash since ive had the wires apart . Does this just need clearing Because i had wires apart ?
Linking up the software eas is working at moment But will need to be able to use in future.
Alarm speaker is this something that i can just replace (plug a new one in) ?
And another problem i have since the fuse blowing moment and having to unplug the alarm speaker is that sometimes its telling me i have to press the key to start the engine ?
Sorry for long post just need to get these bits sorted so i can start on the rest as been sitting around 5/6 years. P38 dhse year 98/99 im in Colchester essex , cars not on the road so can't drive anywhere so if anybody can help with a nanocom lend / sell that would be great any help with the above would be great thanks.

There's a list.
A good known battery and start the car and let it run for a while with the heater on to help dry the interior a bit.
It does sound like humidity could be doing a bit of faffing.
The alarm speaker is possibly damp as well, that could explain the fuse blowing or it was previously damaged?
A duff battery or alt can and will cause some issues.
If the srs/air or any other airbag device was unplugged or connected with battery connected then a fault will appear and will have to be cleared via diagnostics. ;)

Had the same with my 4.0l P38. Fuse 44 kept blowing so EAS showed the 35 mph max warning. The connector to the alarm sounder was fried. (Pic attached) I’ve disconnected it replaced the fuse and the EAS works as it’s meant to, no warnings.
