Bearmarch dosnt have it, so, where would I get one from ? Second hand isn't a good option I guess.
 
Yes I seen used ones on e Bay too.
Just trying to find where I get a new one from.
Seems is not as easy to find a supplier.

I find if I ring the main Eurocarparts number with the Land Rover part number they're very helpful.

Can some point out, maybe a picture, I can't download RAVE, sorry, where the crank temp sensor is please.

As I have already posted 2299 is fitted in the head ,visable when the inlet manifold is removed,and it's not a crank temp sensor,it's just a temp sensor.2301 is in a bracket above the starter motor,as @Datatek has posted don't remove the bracket!! If he doesn't know where the starter motor is, remove the inlet manifold, make sure nothing can get sucked into the engine and get someone to start the motor.the thing that initially makes a noise is the starter motor.

There is no such thing as a "crank temp sensor" there is a temperature sensor located in the head, in fact there are 2 or 3 depending on year, then there is the crank position sensor located just above the starter motor as Alan said a while back. DO NOT remove the bracket or you will be in deep doo doo, remove the sensor from the bracket.
 
Yes I got that. I have pictures where it is and a complete guide how to do the Position sensor.
Bearmarch send me a stc2299 when I ordered the Position sensor.
So while is here I let him change that too.
I have glow plugs and the manifold shield so I found a write up how to do and what tools to use.


I give the mechanic the parts, truck and every info I can get to get the job done.
I cant do it myself as I have back problems and couldn't do them jobs myself in a day anymore. Besides , I woulndt be confident enough not knowing about diesel engines to try.

The Mechanic which works on my cars is not a land rover trained mechanic. He only knows what he can get info to on the p38.

One.last question, disconnecting Batterie for glowpliugs.
I switched alarm and.immobiliser including the eka entree code requirement off on the becm.
If the batterie get connected for the day, which is a couple hours, the eka or immobiliser thing should not come up after connecting the batterie.
I am right on that?

You should have no problem disconnecting the battery, however I never bother to disconnect it to swap glow plugs, it's safe as long as the key is not in the ignition.
