I'm going to put colour coded bumpers onto my p38.
Have all the kit for paiting 2k. Were the original coded bumpers GRP or the same as they grey plastic ones just painted ?
Second hand ones are cheap enough to paint whilst still running around in the beast.

Are you sure as I think I've seen a cracked one that looked like splintered GRP.
Ta for the tip on the plastic primer. What did you use to disolve any silicone on the plastic ?

just about to do mine tomorrow, just give them a good rubbing down then plastic primer, undercoat then the paint. most of the ones you see with splits in are cos not done properly..

i don't think it would look very good, colour coding my white one, more pimped than coded?
what do others reckon? have you done a white one?

i think if you just do the bumper it would look ok, tis when all the frount and back is done, looks a bit pimped..

Mines epson green so its not going to stand out like a pimped machine. Going to do the grill in black metalic as it looks like cheap grey plastic at present

are you using base and 2 pack clear coat cos a few cans out of halfords will look turd, also degrease with your paint thinners or acetone, plastic primer is vital as allready posted, mop up your hole car with fine compound and polish hey presto the beast is fresh as a daisy
