Can any body tell me the best place to purchase p38 suspesion conversion kit not to far from Dartford?

Got mine from Paddock, no probs so far, best thing I have done to the old girl. You will probably be slagged to death on here though.

Best place for a coil conversion is on a P38, no compressor, air bags, pipes, sensors, electronics, valves= a lot less to worry about going wrong, fantastic.

Best place for anyone converting a P38 to coils is not Dartford but Dartmore....... Prison for fecking up a good car:p:p:p

Sounds good to me. No more waiting around for a bag to fill with air, No more beep, beep, beep 35 mph max.
No more bashing your head on the roof...lol.

But whats it like at towing....i need to get the buddah around.

Have you number for parts supplier?
Did you fit youself?

If its not the valve getting stuck closed, then its constantly changing height when stoping at lights and theres always the worry of being let down when you need to get somewhere.

What a nightmare.

Surely Dartmore should be for p38 owners who have to constantly replace repair or redoooo the same old problems........lol

Isn't constant repetativeness a sign of madness.....lol.

Failing to maintain your car is actually a sign of madness, the EAS works fine with no problems if it's maitained.:D
 
Don't do it mate, stay with the air EAS you will regret it.
I had some recent problems with mine but I would not change to coils. Look at post on here from Wammers & Datatek it's not good the P38 is designed for air Suspension not coils.

Read Wammers quotes on this, On Motorways the air susspension drops automatic and redues drag and something to do woth height and balance it's real techinical stuff but honest coil springs make them unstable at high speeds etc. And beware there are many MOT test centres that will fail a P38 for having coils like I stated their not desinged for coils. If you do convert make sure the conversion kit is one that is approved or your RR will fail the MOT.

The P38 was desinged & built to run on air springs, not coils.
I'm no expert on the suspension but please look through the threads on here from the members like wammers & datatek who know there stuff and you will read about the vehicle becoming unstable.

EAS is simple maintain it and it will be fine, ignore it and you will have nothing but trouble.
Part of owning a RR is to maintain it otherwise you will be in for a shock.
 
The only downside I can see is the car sits a bit higher, it is perfectly stable and predictable on the road and as for MOT's there is not a problem as long as it's done right, I "E" mailed VOSA about the new rules as speculation on here was rife and they said there was not a problem, same as light upgrades and chipping as long as the kit is Legal. I am happy with mine so don't really worry what others think and thats what counts, your motor up to you at the end of the day.

Yep agree with the legal bit about the MOT. As I stated in my post beware when buying coil conversions and make sure they are approved ones. There was a member on here that had a concersion done with a non approved kit and it was a total MOT FAILURE.

What do you do to maintain yours.

Well on the EAS I replaced the airbags as soon as I got it, the compressor was replaced just before I got it indicating leakage problems and I've replaced the sensors, also I have a valve block in process of rebuild to swap. Total cost of all that will be less than a good set of coils. It's never caused me any real grief.:D:D:D
