Afternoon all, I think the clutch fork roll pins are u/s on my p38, can anyone suggest/advise of a good mechanic in the west Devon area ( Princetown) to do the job for me. i dont have the facilities to carry out the work my self, any suggestions gratefully received.
Regards
Mike

What are the symptoms? You will know if the pins have gone because the slave cylinder will pump its piston out, and the pedal will be on the floor

Yep you hit the nail on the head, pedal to the floor and i got underneath and slave piston best part out. Also lots of travel on the clutch arm but i was able to drive home with old school clutchless gear changes :)

Just read your post on "what did you do" and yes it's the pins, stupid design. They are only £1 each but it's gearboxes out. Think I remember being told (after I had done mine) that James Martin (on this forum) can supply stronger twin roll pins, may be worth getting a couple for someone to fit. Pity you are not closer, it is a doable job for one man as I know, I did mine not so long ago.
