Hi everyone,
Another Question,,does anyone know the size of socket's i need to buy to remove carrier on the front and rear brake's on my rangie looks like those tx or star sockets, thanks.

They must of changed the design at some stage or run out of normal bolts..I have not come accross "Torx" type yet but obviously they must have used them at some time.

Just taken mine off too to replace broken drive shaft and crunched front diff! They were 19mm on mine, looked star headed but my Halford Pro 19mm 1/2" set undid them no problems and I can assure you they needed quite a bit of force to get them to budge!!!!

Multipoint bolts a std socket or ring spanner should fit em Not an hex one obviously. Been used on tracctas & Disco's fer years What do they normally use on RR then?

All I've come accross Pikey is standard hex.heads on the P38's I have been involved with. That's not to say that they could have used Torx or star headed bolts. Er Indoors Vectra however has nearly all Torx.

The bolt heads are actuall 'triple square' type, i.e. three squares rotated to give twelve points. Ideally you need a triple-square socket, which nobody ever has, but a 12-point bi-hex that fits snugly will do the job.
