I have another wee problem that you guys might be able to help me with. I think the brake acumalator has finally given out after 140+k miles. As I can hear the pump purring away, and fundamentally, my pedal goes to the floor. Is it a formality to change the sphere for another or new one?
Also any ideas where I can get one today (Saturday) as my local Landy factor Co's Dingocroft & Frog Island are closed today.

Ok, thanks, got the gist of that now. Tell me though, is it possible to change my knackered one for a good used one?
As I wantedto go to the Dallaglio dig out tomorrow, & I cannot find a new one anywhere this morning. I can however find a good second hand unit locally today.

Used one is ok as long as it ok, don't forget to depressurise the system buy pressing pedal about thirty times

At no time should the pedal go to the floor Change the accumulator and follow the bleeding instructions in RAVE to the letter to remove the nitrogen that has gone into the system.

Sorry, when I say, go to the floor, it's not quite as bad as that. The car will stop, but you have to stand in the brakes and you can hear the pump whirring away.

If you're near Maidstone pop along to Island-4x4.

I used an oil-filter wrench to undo and tighten. Dead easy.

Sorry, just seen this. You could try Dingocroft in High Wycome. They can usually get it in the next day if its not in stock. If not then Allparts may be able to help.

Dingocroft shut on Saturday, apparently. That was the problem. Allparts was a good call. Used them with great success in the past.

For the record there's a Landy main stealer in Aylesbury: Stratstone. Most P38 parts have to be ordered in though.

I had an old one kicking around until about 2 weeks ago when I finally had a clear out. I replaced it as preventative maintenance.

Dingo, didn't have one or Allparts, I got over from Island 4X4 for £102 delivered inc vat in the end. One of the boys suggested them, I did use them about 10 years ago quite a lot, good crowd!

Island are great until you need to send something back. I used them for ages with no issues and then one day they sent through an absolutely f*cked part. I photographed on unpacking and sent it back. Refused to refund my money and it took the threat of legal action before they refunded it. No communication. That was the worst part. If they'd said they had problems and would get back to me or whatever it would have been bearable. I don't deal with people like that so they're scratched.

+1 used to use Island for most things but started getting dodgy parts & they just don't want to know.
