Is it possible to replace the offside lower ball joint without that expensive looking press and swivel housing alignment tool?

Does anyone know of an indie that might do the job in or near Edinburgh? Sounds like a bit of a stretch for me to do it myself...

Just an afterthought, can they be tightened up? Mine just failed it's MOT and i'd like to just get it through???

Cheers

Blimey is it that bad a job that no-one wants to chuck their two penneth in?

Getting it done by an Indie on friday, £300 for the swivel ball joints and the drag link.

would recommend getting both ball joints renewed while it is apart. Tis supposed to be abugger of a job, an I got one to do on mine before long

seriously a press is a godsend, my advice is if it recommends a press then-strip it get it pressed or let someone else do it who has a press.

Smacking with hammers rarely has a satisfactory result-so I bought a 10 ton press:)
