The lack of flashing lights is no great deal. It can be set to flash indicators, sidelights or nothing at all. The old electronics on these cars can sometimes 'slip' and change the settings all by themselves. The alarm fault however is interesting and you really want some input from one of the BECM wizards on here (not me) or take it somewhere and get your faults read.

Had the same fault like you are having,i ended up replacing the volumetric sensor,didn't check for faults,failure of this sensor is a common problem.
